Every time you see celebrities on TV, you wonder? Maybe – every time you see a gorgeous woman on Instagram you wonder? Whenever you see a model in a magazine – you’re curious?
How do they get such long beautiful lashes? You’ve tried every mascara on the market, and every lash-enhancing serum and still yours never look as beautiful. Maybe you’ve even gone so far as to buy strips of lashes and applied them yourself, but still couldn’t achieve that perfect, natural look that you see in all of the photos.
It’s only after seeing an article in a fashion magazine where your favorite celeb is dishing her beauty secrets and you learn she gets individual lash extensions! She says it’s her secret to always having long beautiful lashes every day that are virtually maintenance free and look so real!
But your mind starts to spin with questions. No worries love – we’re her for you! We have a list of tips that will help you!
5 Tips For The Lash Virgin
1. Amount Of Time It Takes
You may think – that has to take forever to get individual lashes applied. Good news, you can do it in just a few hours, it generally takes 2 – 2.5 hours to complete a full set. It’s a perfect opportunity to lay back, relax, and let go. Just totally Zen out and regroup – the best part, when you open your eyes, you’ll see a stunning set of lashes looking back at you!
2. What To Expect To Pay
Don’t freak out – just because you see every celebrity with extensions – they’re not killer expensive. A full set classic lashes is around $250 but can be higher or lower depending on where you’re located. You’ll need to get maintenance fill-ins and they can run $75-$97 for classic. If you want a bit more va-va-voom and opt for volume lashes expect to pay around $400 – again – it may be higher or lower depending on your location. Your maintenance fill will be around $95 - $150
3. Do you have remove make up prior?
No matter what you’re having done to your face or eyes it’s always best to start with clean skin – so no make up at all.
4. Does It Hurt?
Absolutely NOT! You should NEVER ever feel any type of pain. There can be some fumes from the adhesive, very mild, if at any. If your lash artist uses a nebulizer (a small machine that creates a fine mist to help cure the adhesive throughout the service) you shouldn’t have any issues with adhesive fumes.
5. What If I'm using any chemical lash enhancers - do I need to stop prior?
If you’re using any type of liquid products to help grow and or enhance your lashes -- NO, you shouldn't have to stop those treatments you are doing for lash extensions.
